Chinese broadcaster CICC commissioned a series of 7 short documentaries from a variety of production companies both here in the UK and in China. The brief was about as open as they come – to produce a short documentary film, focusing on the ‘hopes and dreams’ of ordinary Chinese people.
In part 1, we meet Chen Penbin, a fisherman who discovered the world through extreme marathon running. And in part 2, we meet Chen-Ba, a troubled orphan boy from Tibet, who found a sense of belonging and purpose in life when he discovered his passion for baseball.
